30 Days of Beauty and Fragrance

While leafing through a Redbook magazine today, I found a fancy-pants fragrance ad from 30 Days of Beauty.com featuring Halle Berry’s scent, Country couple Faith Hill and Tim McGraw’s scents, along with Tom Brady and the Stetson scent.

The ad gives 30 days worth of beauty advice such as:I remember Stetson from way back and I’ve already written about Halle Berry’s scent, but I had no idea that Faith Hill and Tim McGraw had fragrances. McGraw Southern Blendis actually Tim McGraw’s second scent. Are there any celebrities out there that don’t have scents either out or on the way?

I noticed that Faith Hill Parfums comes in a bottle that reminded me very much of Chloé Eau de Parfum Intense. The rectangular shape and the little black bow – okay, it’s mostly the little black bow. I couldn’t find a photo that I can use, but you can peek at the bottle here. The notes sound pleasant enough – a little fruit, a lot of floral, the warmth of musk.

Top note: Pear, Neroli, Pink Peony
Middle note: Magnolia, Jasmine, Gardenia
Bottom note: Cashmere Skin Musk, Iris, Vetiver

McGraw Southern Blendis described as earthy and woody. The notes sound good, but I have to admit, I’m a big Tim McGraw fan, so I’m biased. (He’s so darn manly).Top note: Grapefruit, Star Anise, Bergamot
Middle note: Lavendar, Violet Leaves, Whiskey Accord
Bottom note: Vetiver, Amber, Tobacco

“Perfect Perfume for Fall”

Perfect Perfume for Fall. Fall is the ideal time of year to complement your makeup with the perfect perfume. Moving into the colder months means moving into rich, full-bodied perfumes that sing with personality. You can finish off your perfect look by finding a signature perfume that shows off the gorgeous, sexy woman that you are.

Perfumes are categorized into families that have common characteristics. One family is the Oriental family, which is made up of perfumes that are sensual, heady, and spicy. These perfumes are perfect for your fall beauty look, which tends to lean towards deeper, richer colors that flow into the rich fall air and the crisp autumn colors.

The Oriental family of perfumes has several different sub-categories. Oriental perfumes often have a vanilla base, which is soothing and comforting. Another sub-category is known as “amber” in the world of perfumes. Amber scents are warm, rich and honeylike, and also somewhat powdery, oriental and earthy. Amber scents were originally derived from whales, but are now made synthetically.A subgroup of Orientals that is truly delicious for your fall beauty routine is the spicy Orientals. These rich scents capture the essence of autumn with their rich clove, cinnamon, nutmeg and incense aromas. You will be the life of the party when you walk in wearing the spicy aromas of these Orientals.

When your beauty routine calls for a lighter Oriental fragrance, your best bet is a floral Oriental perfume. Mixing the heady, sensuous base of the Oriental family with the lighthearted, carefree nature of florals, you get a lighter scent that is perfect for office wear or daytime makeup.

When you are choosing a new fragrance to complement your fall beauty routine, it’s important to consider the notes of the perfume. While some perfumes are singular scents, most combine an evolving mixture that changes over time. The first impression of a perfume is known as the top note. In Oriental perfumes, the top note is often an edible flavor, such as the spicy cloves and cinnamons. This top note will fade quickly and give way to the next tone, the middle note or heart note of the perfume.Oriental perfumes often have a heart note that is reminiscent of flowers, such as roses, lily of the valley, or jasmine. The heart note will sing for an hour or so before subtly moving into the base note or bottom note of your perfume. In theOriental family, the base note is often sandalwood, musk or patchouli and will resonate with a sensual tone that lasts for hours. Enveloping your body in these rich sensuousperfumes is the perfect finishing touch for your fall beauty routine.

Your makeup is only the beginning of a perfect fall look. When beautiful deep autumn wardrobes are highlighted with rich lip and eye colors, the only way to truly finish your look is with the perfect perfume. The complex, sensual richness found in the Oriental family of perfumes are the perfect end to a beautiful fall look. By choosing all of your scents from this multifaceted family, you are sure to get the attention and admiration of everyone around.Paige Rylann is a successful writer and entrepreneur for http://www.greatfragrances4u.com/ , with a long term interest in fragrance, style and fashion. Insider’s Obsessions: Jemma Kidd

Jemma Kidd is world-famous fashion and beauty icon. This English countess was a fashion model before she became a makeup artist with a full-fledged cosmetics line. After working with many major fashion houses and beauty brands, she founded the The Jemma Kidd Make Up School in 2002. Makeup collections called Jemma Kidd Make Up School and Jemma Kidd PRO followed four years later. Most recently, Jemma has collaborated with Target for her JK Jemma Kidd line. So what is someone so fabulously talented as Jemma obsessing over? Let’s find out! ONE. Books — I have a constant stream of parcels being delivered from book websites. I am building a library in house and love choosing books to stock it with. My favourite genre is historical novels and I also love large coffee table books on fashion.

TWO. Underwear — I am obsessed with buying underwear, I opt for comfort and like thin cotton hipster pants – nothing too lacy. I like balconette bras as they give shape, and I like to keep the design simple so my underwear doesn’t show through my clothes. I love Elle Macpherson Intimates.

THREE. Mascara — This is the most vital item in my make-up bag. As I have fair lashes, I use mascara religiously; it frames my lashes and gives definition to my eyes. My favourite is my JK Ultra Plush Volumising Mascara. It gives real volume to my lashes and is smudge-resistant, so perfect for daily wear.

FOUR. Lip balms — I am still on the hunt for the perfect one. I like hydrating balms with a matte feel and not too much petroleum. For me, balms have to be waxy so that they seal moisture into the lips, I also like them to be invisible on the lips. Burt’s Bees balms have a lovely texture.icon

FIVE. C&C California — Their thin cotton tops are a staple of my wardrobe. They have long sleeves which fit my arms perfectly, they feel so soft against the skin and can be worn with almost anything.icon

Prescriptives: The luxury of custom blend

Prescriptives make up was a favorite when I was in college but through the years had faded to the back of my mind as a fond memory. I still remember the gray compacts I used to carry around with me in the early '90s, it was so modern and chic, the young and cool sibling to Estee Lauder line of products. But I lost track of my favorite items from Prescriptives as new brands lured me away with fancy colors and gimmicky shades. Last year I returned to the Prescriptives counter after almost a decade away and had a lip gloss from another company recreated as it was discontinued, the make up artist did such an amazing job mixing the exact shade of my gloss that I started paying attention to Prescriptives again. I discovered many women obsessed with Prescriptives custom blend foundation and who swear it is the only way to look natural and dewy. Honestly, I didn't really believe any of them, I was a Chanel foundation addict and didn't think any brand could match the dewiness my Teint Innocence provided me. Well, I was proven wrong last week at the Prescriptives counter at Bergdorf Goodman's infamous beauty basement!

It comes with all the sable brushes shown but you provide all your own favorite beauty products for the ultimate in vanity decadence. Keep this on your dresser and carry it to wherever has the best lighting in your house at the moment for your daily ritual of primping. It is a wood frame covered with gorgeous aqua Adamo calf leather, the color is so divine!! It makes me want to do my entire bedroom in that color. It is not a giant chest, the measurements are 5.5" x 9.75" x 7.5" so it is easy to fit on your vanity, counter or dresser. Of course you can only put your very favorite products in there but how fun would it be to switch out the colors each week, like you do a bag? Even if this isn't all that functional for your needs, it is so beautiful you can just look at it! At Smythson for $2410.

Claudio Riaz Instant Smoke Brush

This is my bad purchase of the year. Like a victim of infomercials, I fell for the sales associate's spiel about this "one step instant smokey eye brush that will save you time and create perfect eyes". Yeah, sounds too good to be true, right? Except this wasn't $19.99 after being discounted from $199.99 and I didn't get 2 extra brushes if I purchased "right now". The brush quality is good, it is sable and well constructed but this "one step" process just does not work, and if I thought about it for more than 20 seconds before I bought it, I would have made the realization. You are supposed to dab this with shadow but the shape of this prevents you from getting a good dab so I made a big mess of my shadow while smashing the brush down so I can get powder in the middle. Then you put this up to your lids and press down and tilt from side to side. Uh, shadow doesn't work this way, it does not stick and I got a ton of loose powder all over my face. And the brush is so rigid and wide that when I tried to blend with it, the shadow went up, down and around my eyes so I looked like a crazy mess. To get this to work, I had to use another brush to blend. In other words, I used the brush that I usually use to get the smokey eye look to get the smokey eye look with this brush. Now you tell me if that makes any sense. This brush sucks so badly that they don't even carry it Barney's anymore, where I bought it. Total waste of $95. Always stick to Shu Uemura for brushes. Bare Escentuals SPF 30 Sunscreen Mineral Powder

This is one of those few all in one products that really stands up to "all" that it is promising, including incredible convenience. This loose powder in a leak-proof brush dispenser is a lightweight mineral powder that has SPF 30 and is anti-aging. I love love love mineral make up, it looks flawless without caking down your face to give you that flawlessness. The Micronized Titanium Dioxide mineral physically shields against UVA/UVB rays so you can enjoy the sun without worry. One quick pass around the face in the morning and you can head out the door. Throw this in your bag for quick easy reapplication with no mess. Bare Escentuals is all green with no harmful additives. Can something be this amazing? Yes, it can =) Comes in 3 tones for light, medium and tan skin. At Sephora for $28. Enter the code NATURALBAG at checkout and get 8 free samples.

Smythson Make-Up Brush Roll

Skip this post if you're on any kind of a budget! For those who have the means to indulge their whims however, how chic is this this Smythson Make-Up Brush Roll ($540)? Made from subtle coral-colored calfskin it has a papaya colored leather lining and comes with 8 professional quality brushes and tweezers. It couldn't be more practical for traveling (I only wish the inside pockets were such that this could double as a clutch!), and I love that it protects the brushes (unlike my brushes now which are thrown into various makeup bags without any protective covering). Unfortunately I can't randomly justify spending this amount of money on an extravagance like this, but what a fab gift this would make for a milestone birthday or other big occasion for a makeup aficionado. What do you think about this make-up brush roll? Are you tempted to indulge?

Beauty Gift: Fashion 21 Stick Eyeshadow / Liner

And I thought I’ve had my share of free beauty loot for the holiday season! I’m quite happy with my new brush set and mineral makeup samples but Roanne Vista of Vanity Vibe surprised me with a cool new makeup that I can experiment with.

It’s Fashion 21 Stick Eyeshadow/Liner, Lotus. I don’t normally use sticks for eye makeup except for my pencil eye liner AND I don’t usually wear pink except for blush. So, this practically dares me to try something totally new. Forcing me out of my comfort zone, eh?

I’ll try my best to document one of my experiments and show it to you guys. Keep an eye out for it!

Why the €580 mighty Mitzy is here to stay

We've swapped nights out on the town for pizzas and TV movies, the holidays in Barbados have been rerouted to Bundoran and the petrol-guzzling 4x4 is now an eco-friendly Smart car. But, incredibly, we haven't given up on designer labels.

The premier houses of fashion are so far weathering the economic storm with gusto.

Hermes has reported increased sales for the first quarter of 2009, driven largely by a persistent demand for leather bags, and Mulberry's profits for 2009 in Ireland and the UK are also up by 21pc so far.

This might sound like madness in the height of a recession but it's not just a case of shopping gone mad. The average car loses 20pc of its value the second you drive it off the forecourt, we're being warned that house prices could fall by 80pc, and only the most courageous trader would gamble on the stock market. In today's current climate, putting money into classic designer bags and chic quality fashion might be one of the best investments you can make.

Ever since Carrie Bradshaw was mugged for her Manolos in Sex and the City it's been clear that fashion is a currency. Last year, Daphne Guinness cleared out her stunning couture wardrobe raising a whopping €167,500 including a Dior wool hat with an auction price of €46 that went for €4,000, while estimates show that a classic Chanel women's suit from the 1960s notches an additional 20pc to its value with each passing year.

A good sense of fashion has always been important, but in the current recession it could be worth its weight in gold.

And Irish women are already on the case. Mulberry's "recession proof" bag du jour, the Mitzy, is priced at €580 and has been flying off the shelves in Dundrum's House of Fraser. Since it launched, two to three bags have been sold each week by women who've seen the sleek creation on the arm of stars like Claudia Schiffer.

But what makes the Mitzy special is that it's a bang-on trend It bag with a sense of timeless style. "From looking at the bag, the quality of the leather, the pared back classic shape and the gorgeous tan colour, you know that this is a bag that will still be stylish in years to come," explains personal shopper at House of Fraser, Sally Ann Flanagan.

"Women haven't stopped spending, but they have become more discerning about what they want to spend money on."

Exit gimmicks like bright colours, exaggerated shoulders, crazy shoes and cheap fabrics. "The recession has had a definite impact on the way women shop. They want something they can keep wearing, not just for a few seasons but something that if they put it away for 10 or 12 years it will be something they can still wear as a vintage piece," says Sally Ann.

The perfect investment buy keeps its worth not only as a financial investment but also as a fashion statement.

But to cover one or both aspects, you have to be prepared to spend. "From just looking at a designer jacket and an imitation from the high street you can tell which one will stand the test of time," says Sally Ann.

"I have a client who is still able to wear the same Aquascutum raincoat after 50 years.

"With a few adaptations, a Chanel suit will still look as stylish after 60 years -- you should spend as much as you can to get the best quality of craftsmanship and fabric -- scrimping on price when making an investment purchase is a false economy."

Lisa Perkins, from perkupvintage.ie, agrees: "The reason the vintage pieces that we see today have held their value is all to do with the quality of the workmanship.

"Dresses in the 1940s and 1950s had a high thread count and were built to last; the fact that pieces from labels like Pucci and Chanel often end up in museums prove that vintage is worth investing in."

The key to spotting which current trends are the vintage pieces of tomorrow comes from being able to separate what is fashion from what is style.

"Experience means I can often see what pieces in each season will become iconic clothes," explains Sally Ann, who started her career in fashion 40 years ago and has styled more than 3,000 women since House of Fraser opened five years ago. "But there are also some good rules of thumb: black never goes out of fashion, neither does the monochrome look. Good tailoring, seams and simple lines give a classic shape.

"Above all, the pieces that will last the distance are the ones that make women look and feel good. When the Roland Mouret Galaxy dress came out four years ago, I knew it would still be around in years to come -- its classic silhouette suits all women."

It's why well designed shapes such as the trench coat and the A-line dress are still around today, and with retailers dropping their prices to entice buyers there's never been a better time to start investing in a timeless designer wardrobe.

Sally Ann says: "There's a budget for anyone to invest in quality fashion. Even if you're young and not on a huge salary, it's worth saving up to buy a really great bag or coat that will last a lifetime and never go out of fashion, instead of something you're going to get one or two wears out of and throw away."

Time Saving Beauty Tricks

You wake up to realize you set your alarm for 6:51 instead of 6:15, then you remember it’s hair washing day. Your partner needs a shirt ironed (cause “I can’t do it like you can hun”) then, as 5 minutes are lost ironing, you throw on your favourite heels in such a flurry a heel snaps off. With coffee as your last saviour you reach the fridge to discover your other half has had the last portion of milk before he notes “geez hun, you’ll be late to work if you don’t hurry” as he casually strolls out the door.Sound familiar? Yip, us women are a special bunch. It goes without saying that the men in our life with would be lost without us, just as we’d be lost without the simple pleasures of a beauty routine that makes our lives a little less chaotic.

It’s these small yet simple virtues that allow all us ‘Wonderwomen’ to steal a little ‘us’ time. And while we’d all love to have an hour every day to tend to our beauty needs it’s just not reality.

Below I’ve shared my favourite time saving beauty tips and tricks combined with products that will fix your beauty woes in a matter of minutes…Cleanse and Clean in a Jiffy
When time is short ready to go cleansing wipes are the ultimate solution. If people say they can’t be bothered taking off their foundation before bed, they haven’t discovered Cleansing Wipes or have been living under a rock for the last 10 years. They’re by no means new, but are definitely worth having in your beauty cupboard. In just a couple of minutes you’ll have your makeup off and impurities removed from the skin. The Bloom pack (featured) is enriched with Cucumber, Camellia Leaf, Aloe Vera and Ginseng extracts, to leave your skin feeling clean and refreshed.1: Bloom Off, Off and Away Cleansing Wipes, RRP $9.95 from Adore Beauty

Three Minute Hair Miracle
Months of hair styling and colouring can weaken the structure of your hair, making it look dry and brittle, causing split ends. “Hair damage can be caused by a variety of factors,” Pantene Specialist Trichologist, Tony Pearce says. ”To address it, you need to use a product that doesn’t just disguise the issue on the hair surface, but that works to restore lost moisture from within the cuticle. Damage repair is all about using a product that actually penetrates the cortex and gets to the source of the problem.” Pantene 3 Minute Miracle can help to repair 3 months of accumulated hair damage in just 3 minutes! With Pro–Vitamins that instantly penetrate your hair, its concentrated Pro–V formula hydrates damaged hair from within. Simply apply the Pantene 3 Minute Miracle onto your hair strands following your shampoo and conditioning, leave on for 3 minutes and rinse off. You’ll enjoy stronger, more beautiful hair that’s yours to flaunt!

Style While You Sleep
Don’t have time to curl your hair with rollers every morning? Who does?! I’ve got a great trick that truly works to give you gorgeous, easy curls while you sleep. Wash your hair before bed and while it’s still damp (not dripping wet) put it into one or two plaits. Come morning when you undo your plaits you’ll be left with pretty waves! It’s a good idea to put some product through your hair first to prevent against frizz and enhance your curls. Try Pantene Pro-V Curl Revive Frizz Control Leave In Treatment, full of Pro-Vitamin-rich moisture, which helps to protect against frizz and help make your curls more bouncy and defined.
3: Pantene Pro-V Curl Revive Frizz Control Leave In Treatment, RRP $6.99 from Pantene stockists

Long-lasting Polish
Purchasing a long-lasting quality nail polish saves you money and precious time as you’ll reapply less and enjoy chip-free, crack-free polish for longer. A good polish should stay on your nails for around 7 to 10 days (with a base and top coat). To speed up this process look for products that combine a base coat and top coat in one formula. There are even lacquer drying drops available which will have your nails touch dry in minutes! For a polish that clings to nails, is long-wearing and protects against chipping, peeling and cracking why not try Max Factor Nailfinity Nail Enamel.
4: Max Factor Nailfinity Nail Enamel, RRP $8.90 from Max Factor stockists

Tinted Face Cream
Let’s face it, we’re becoming a heck of a lot more demanding when it comes to face care. Gone are the days when we have time to perform a 5-step skin care regime every morning and night. We demand products that have it all and give us real results. Women everywhere spoke and beauty companies listened, hence the reason our shelves are now lined with creams that boast moisturing properties, anti-ageing properties and foundation all in one product. These products will not only save you time it’ll also make your trip to the beauty counter less painful and you’ll now be able to purchase one or two products that do it all! I’m a big fan of Olay Total Effects Touch of Foundation, combining the benefits of an anti-ageing cream with the immediate tone improvement of a sheer foundation.
5: Olay Total Effects Touch of Foundation, RRP $30.99 from Olay Stockists

Befriend The Makeup Primer
A foundation primer is your secret weapon for day-long flawless foundation that won’t budge. Nearly all makeup artists will use this to create that flawless skin you see in magazines and on the catwalk. It really does keep your foundation in place for longer and takes just a minute to apply before you put on your foundation. The extra minute spent applying this in the morning will save you having to reapply later in the day. I fell in love with one of the first primers I tried; Napolean Perdis Auto Pilot Pre-Foundation Primer containing Chamomile, Yarrow extract and Vitamin E to deliver complexion perfection and instant hydration for all skin types.

Cheap Chic: Fashion and beauty tips for looking good for less

That first pricey pair [of boots] proved to be my gateway drug to high-end footwear, which might have proved disastrous. But once I went high-end, I found I was buying significantly less, because I was happily wearing each pair more frequently. Cravings for new styles started to subside. And within six months, my pattern of overspending on the cheap stuff was officially broken.

By my calculations, spending more actually saved me money. (An estimate: I used to buy three pairs of shoes every season -- that's 12 pairs at $125 each, about $1,500 annually. Now I buy three to four pairs a year -- each priced between $200 and $400 -- roughly totaling $1,100.)KNEE-LENGTH in full-grain leather, the oxblood riding boots were so stiff, they stood on the shelf as straight as Redwood saplings. I lingered in front of them, admiring the softly rounded toes, not too pointy or blunt, that capped off the shapely foot bed and the thin strap that encircled the vamp, anchored by a subtle brass buckle.Classic and pragmatic, they were the kind of boots you spot on the quietly wealthy -- women who eschew brand logos and obvious bling. Costume National, the avant-garde Italian brand, made them. And I wasn't leaving the store without them.

Trouble was, I was far from wealthy -- quietly or otherwise -- and the objects of my desire were $700. On sale. It was 2003, and I was working as a mid-level editor at a magazine and shouldering a mountain of grad school debt. I was in no position to buy a $700 anything. Especially when it was a struggle to find $800 for rent. But urged on by a friend, I pulled the trigger, nearly choking on my recklessness as I handed over a new Visa in payment. I'd never have guessed that the purchase would forever change the way I shop.

I'd always been a chronic shoe shopper -- an impulse buyer who splurged on three to four new pairs of moderately priced shoes every season. But as I pulled on those boots month after month, I was amazed at how fantastic they continued to look and feel. Price doesn't always dictate quality and comfort (I have a pair of $500 stilettos that hurt even to look at), but after years of abuse, my feet were thanking me for pouring them into something so well-made. And they didn't want to go back to throw-away shoes.

Four years later, the boots are still in regular rotation in my wardrobe. More comfy than a pair of Asics, they've taken long, exploratory walks through St. Petersburg, Amsterdam, Tallinn and Rome -- and through countless L.A. 'hoods. Not only have they held up fantastically (the heel shows some minor wear, but the hand-nailed rubber sole is still near-pristine), but they're even more handsome now, with nicks and scratches adding gorgeous dimension to the cognac leather.

That first pricey pair proved to be my gateway drug to high-end footwear, which might have proved disastrous.

Now I buy three to four pairs a year -- each priced between $200 and $400 -- roughly totaling $1,100.)

It takes some strategy. The concept of paying more to save more requires you to leave "it" shoes on the shelf. Investing in shoes that are splashed all over the fashion mags and blogs each season is verboten if you're on a budget (and I definitely still am). Prada's ruffle-heeled shoes for fall are drool-worthy, for example, but they're getting too much press to look fresh a year from now.

And you don't have to pay full price for designer shoes -- I never do. I shop BlueFly.com, Barneys New York warehouse sale in Santa Monica and end-of-season sales at boutiques such as Madison Los Angeles and Fred Segal Feet. Local outlets can be gold mines too. Early this year, I snapped up a pair of Yves Saint Laurent heels for $120 at the brand's store at Desert Hills Premium Outlets. Who cares if they're past season? They're stunning and not so trendy that most people can fix them to a certain season -- exactly what you're looking for.

At this price point, think in years, not seasons. It will be eons before you discard a pair of Chanel flats, black Christian Louboutin heels or Burberry riding boots. Dropping a car payment on a pair of platforms never felt so frugal.

I always wear my hair tied back, but I’m bored of the classic ponytail. Can you suggest an easy style that I could do quickly in the mornings that won’t make me late for work?

A braid is an easy and totally on-trend style that is easy to do, looks totally stylish, and can be changed to add versatility to everyday hair.

Start by sectioning the hair into a soft side parting and apply a small amount of serum to the surface of the hair, (Kerastase Serum Nutri Sculpt is the best light serum, £17.50, 0800 316 4400). Braid the hair across to the side, either in a French braid or chunky single braid. Take asymmetrically to the nape of the neck, and secure into the nape using hair grips.

Hair can also be left loose and secured with an elastic. Braids can be left neat and tidy, or softened for a more Boho feel.

Finish with a light spray of Shu Uemura Art of Hair Sheer Lacquer (£15.50, 0800 633 5021) for added hold.

I’m pear-shaped and can never find dresses to suit my body – what kinds of styles should I go for?

It’s a fact that pear shapes are smaller on top than bottom with fuller hips and thighs, so it’s far easier for you to wear separate tops and skirts in two different sizes. However, if you’re looking for that perfect fitting dress you should look for styles that enhance your slim waist and accentuate your shoulders while minimising your hips and thighs.

Look for dresses that cinch in at the waist or just above, as this will emphasise how slim you are here. Interesting details on top such as frills, pleats, pockets and embellishments will keep the focus very much on your upper body and away from your hips and thighs, keep detail minimal here.

Fluted, puff, bell or cap sleeves and wide necklines will also broaden the appearance of your shoulders balancing your figure proportionately.

Morning sickness help: Fashion and beauty tips

When you are battling the constant nausea from morning sickness it can be hard to look good when you don’t feel good. Here are some tips to look great — even when you want to throw in the towel.Pale, sallow skin usually goes along with nausea. Counteract this by brushing bronzer along your forehead, cheeks and nose and following with a dab of blush on the apples of your cheeks. Make you eyes look wide awake by hiding undereye circles with concealer and applying lengthening mascara. Follow with some sheer, rosy lipgloss to brighten up your entire face.Wear clothes with color to give your pale skin some color. Forget black and gray and pull on a cheery blue or pink top. Who knows? It may even brighten your mood!Wear clothes that are stylish, but comfortable. Don’t wear clothes that are too tight, especially around your stomach. A hip maxi dress is always a perfect pregnancy look. Pictured is a maxi dress from OldNavy.com

Look on the bright side — many women only have morning sickness the first trimester and/or early into the second trimester. Once you are holding your baby in your arms it will all be worth it!

Hottest Beauty Trend: Fuschia Pink Lips

There is good news for all of you make up lovers. It’s pink and it’s hot!

It seems like every Spring, this hot trend somehow creeps back into our makeup bag. That’s right, I’m talking about bright fuschia pink lips. It’s such a fab addition to any summer outfit, making it more interesting and highlighting your most sensual feature- your lips. Give it a try and you won’t regret it!
Anyone can wear hot pink lips, as long as you pick the RIGHT SHADE for your skin tone and keep the rest of your make up simple.

I have a few different lipsticks in pink, so what I do is mix them, to get that perfect shade that just feels right when I apply it.
